Wellbeing Week
Hi Busby PS families,
In these uncertain times, it is important that we look after ourselves. Supporting the wellbeing of children and young people is an important part of what students, families and schools do every day. It is especially important to ensure that children and young people’s wellbeing is looked after in times of uncertainty and stress. Supporting wellbeing not only helps children and young people to feel happier and less anxious, it will also help them to have positive interactions with the rest of the family and to learn more effectively.
Please see below for some activities that you may like to do throughout the day. Each activity is designed to take between 5 and 15 minutes (but some can be done for longer if you wish).
Take care and stay safe.

Week 7 Monday 23 August - Friday 27 August

This week is Book Week and in your child's class work there will be activities around Book Week.
We’re also inviting you to celebrate Book Week with your child by choosing one of the other ideas below and taking photos or a video and sending them to us in your child’s Google Classroom or on Facebook Messenger.
Other family Book Week ideas:
- Have your child discuss with you their favourite book or character and take a video of them
- Students dress up as their favourite character.
- Create a comfy reading corner and spend time reading and sharing your favourite book
- Have your own Book Week parade at home and record the family walking around the backyard/house dressed up or holding their favourite book.
Could you please send any videos or photos through to the school on your child’s Google Classroom or on Facebook Messenger by Thursday 26th August 2021. These will then be used to create a school video of Book Week celebrations and be shared with our community on the school website and Facebook page.
