The students in 3/4 Violet have settled into the new school year beautifully. We have already been so busy learning lots of new exciting things.
Just a few things to remember:
· Our library day is Wednesday. Students cannot borrow a book for home without a library bag.
· Our sport day is Friday (GOT Game). Please make sure students wear comfortable shoes.
English Every day our morning session is usually dedicated to Literacy. We start our mornings off with phonics, then move into reading groups and writing. We are also participating in modelled reading, reading a chapter book together as a class and of course the Premier’s Reading Challenge!
Mathematics Our maths lessons always start with a fun and engaging warm up game, followed by modelling the concept of the day and then students participate in differentiated activities.
Other Key Learning Areas 3/4 Violet is learning about living and non-living things in Science, we are learning about what health is and how we can be healthy in PDH.
I am looking forward to a very busy, fun and exciting year in 3/4 Violet.

Term 3
Violet has had a busy term of learning! Every morning we start with phonics, writing and reading groups. We have started to use our goals and success criteria to improve our work and ensure we are successful in what we are doing. We also love reading in our reading corner!
In maths, we are working on creating number patterns and have started to look at 3D shapes and their properties.
Last week we combined with Amethyst to play a fun game of newcombe ball and enjoyed participating with another class and putting our teamwork skills to the test.
