School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

Our school event may include:

school orientation days

Harmony Week and Book Week events

PSSA Gala Days

Year 3–6 Gala Days
Throughout the year, students in Years 3–6 participate in Gala Days across three seasons. A variety of sports are offered, including:

Touch Football
Newcombeball
Netball
Basketball
Tag League
Soccer

Sports may be played in girls’ teams, boys’ teams, or mixed teams.

Excursions

Throughout the year, each stage has the chance to head out on exciting excursions that bring learning to life. This year we’ve roared with the lions at Sydney Zoo, blasted off into discovery at the Discovery Space Centre, stepped onto campus life at the University of Wollongong, and gone wild with the animals at Symbio Zoo. What an adventure-filled year it’s been!

Incursions

School isn’t just about the classroom — we’ve had some amazing experiences this year! Our students have stepped into new worlds with a VR experience, made a furry new friend with Pepsi the Dog, and joined in on Yatimba, a wellbeing program that helps us feel calm, strong and connected.
