Absences
Principals are legally responsible for keeping accurate records of student attendance. Principals are also responsible for deciding if the reason given for an absence is justified.
As a parent or carer of one of our students, you will need to inform the school that your child will be away and the reason why your child will be absent from school.
The best ways of notifying us are:

Use the School Bytes Parent Portal
Send a note to the class teacher the next day with your child
If your child is absent from school for more than 2 days a medical certificate is required on return.
If the school has not received an explanation for a child’s absence, the class teacher will send you an Absentee Notice which needs to be returned within 7 days of receipt.
