Welcome to 5/6 Lime where our goal is to embrace a growth mindset approach. 

Students in Lime participated in creating their classroom contract and have settled in well. They are getting to know each other and are working hard to start their year off successfully. 

Lime students have also been very lucky to have been given brand new laptops to use in the classroom. As we are currently learning about the topic Australia as a Nation in HSIE, students have been researching and creating their own Google site about a significant Australian person of their choice. They are enjoying every aspect of inquiry learning. 

Lime has also been busy in writing. They have been editing and publishing their narratives using Google docs and are getting a taste of what it's like to be an author of an imaginative text. 

Our goal for this year is to have a successful and happy year, full of learning and laughter.

Term 2 Week 5

Peer Support Training

Image: Our Peer Support sessions start in Week 6. Students in Lime have been super excited about becoming Peer leaders. They have two full days of training. This was our first training session and they have done some amazing activities to help them in their Peer leader skills.

Image: Students in Lime have volunteered to read a book of their choice to the whole class. They've enjoyed this very much and it's a wonderful break from all the hard learning they have been doing.

Image: In Lime, students have been learning about democracy in History. They're very excited to be making their own 'website' about an important Australian historical figure. Working on their laptops is their favourite activity.
