Students in Azure have been learning and researching facts about Cyclones. As a class we brainstormed different facts about cyclones and then they went off and planned for their informative writing as part of English.

During reading groups we have been focussing on out long vowel sounds students complete a word sort activity to build their vocabulary and knowledge of different digraph songs words. When reading with Mr Barwell we focus on word work to help with our recognition and spelling of words.

They have been all been fantastic learners this term!

Students in Azure made an artwork using colour mixing and tones to ensure they could make the right scene for their “moon on the horizon” artworks.

In maths students have been very busy investigating length and measuring the lengths of different objects using our measuring devices. We have also been learning to represent numbers in an abstract, pictorial and concrete form. We are working on our repeated addition skills to solve multiplication problems.
