Welcome to 5/6 Teal
Teachers Ms Marcus & Mrs Khoudeir
This term we have already hit the floor running.
In literacy we have been using stimulus such as the Mad Hatter and Henry Box Brown to write character descriptions and look at the grammar behind imaginative texts. We have also been doing lots of NAPLAN practice.
For numeracy we have been using our rulers and knowledge of place value to measure and convert mm to cm and m to km. We have also been looking at different strategies to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
In art we have been creating Ben Quilty Rorschach style landscapes using paint and our knowledge of blending.
Our history focus for this term is centered around Australia's past and the significant people that shaped Australia's colonies.
For science we have just begun looking at Australian agriculture and methods for sustainability in each of the 5 primary industries.
Every Friday we also participate in Got Games and play loads of different skill-based games.
We can't believe just how much we've learnt already and can't wait to share the rest of our learning journey with you all.
